The Atlantic Paws Project is an animal rescue dedicated to saving, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals. Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and prevent neglect through proactive spay and neuter initiatives, comprehensive medical and behavioral care, and responsible adoption practices—including thorough background checks for all adopters. We are committed to creating a sustainable model of animal welfare built on compassion, education, and community collaboration.
Our Mission
In the winter of 2025, four friends recognized a growing and urgent need for another all-breed canine rescue along the East Coast of the United States. The number of dogs requiring rehabilitation—both physical and behavioral, along with rehoming, rescue, and essential resources had reached an all-time high. With the experience we gained after years of working with other rescues, shelters, foster and adopters we knew we needed to help. After countless conversations about how we could make a difference, The Atlantic Paws Project was born. Female founded and driven by a fresh perspective on the animal welfare crisis, we’re ready to step in and help the dogs who need us most.
